Jennifer DeAlminana brings over 25 years of pediatric nursing expertise to her role as a board member at A HOPE. Having dedicated her career to caring for children, Jennifer served as a clinical nurse manager, where she specialized in clinical purchasing, education and training, vaccine management and storage, and vaccine tracking through state software systems. Now retired, she continues to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves, including children and animals, through education and direct action.

Jennifer graduated from nursing school in 1993 and holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and CPR. Her volunteer work includes serving with the Santa Rosa County Medical Reserve Corps. She also brings valuable leadership experience from her time on the board of a Mardi Gras krewe that focused on women’s and children’s charities, where she held roles such as Vice President and Sergeant-at-Arms.

As a lifelong caregiver, Jennifer is the matriarch of her family, which includes six grown children, thirteen grandchildren, and one beloved dog. In her spare time, she volunteers at a local elementary school and enjoys outdoor activities such as swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, boating, and camping. She is also an avid reader and craft enthusiast, finding joy in creating and exploring new hobbies.

Jennifer’s passion for advocacy aligns perfectly with A HOPE’s mission to support animals and their caretakers. Her background in healthcare and fundraising, combined with her experience in securing public funding for medical needs, equips her to contribute meaningfully to the organization’s efforts. Jennifer is excited to give back to her community by sharing her time, knowledge, and enthusiasm with A HOPE as both a volunteer and board member.

Having spent a lifetime helping others, Jennifer is thrilled to be part of an organization that shares her commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of animals and their families.
